You can out a filter on the POE (to avoid broadcasting your MoCA network upstream) but I strongly prefer airgapped networks. ![]() Its absolutely ok to use the coax wiring for other purposes simultaneously, but in my experience as I "cut the cord" long ago I just mapped out the house's coax wiring and only connected the runs I'm actually using for MoCA - in particular disconnecting the house coax from the point of entry. There's a couple "hidden" gotchas (you need any splitters on your coax to be 1500mhz rated and ideally specifically MoCA compatible, for example) but these are significantly easier to remedy vs if you have issues with Powerline. Iirc 2.5 allows for 3gbps concurrent in total over the MoCA mesh network.
